Weekend 28

I spent this weekend in Nashville. We left Thursday after we picked up Calvin and my aunt. It should have taken us 7 hrs and 47 minutes according to Google maps but it didn't include our three stops and the hour of traffic we were in due to construction. We finally got to hotel around 1 and were sleep by 2:30. The next morning we headed to Fisk University and I went to my cousin's pre calculus class. I was excited be I got two of the three questions right and his teacher said it was second semester calculus. After his class we went to the number one barbecue place in Nashville, Jack's. They had the best pulled pork I've ever had. Then wen to the bowling alley while my mom, aunt, and grandma went to the mall. After that we went to Monell's, which is a family style restaurant with amazing southern food. Their mashed potatoes were the bomb.

Weekend 27

This weekend was a pretty laid back weekend. On Saturday I went bowling, as usual. So nothing really new happened. After bowling I went to the African Art Fair on the south side. There was a lot of beautiful art, but most of all I loved the clothes and jewelry. Almost everything  there was handmade or hand painted or hand designed.  The details were amazing and the stones were gorgeous! There was this one vest, it was kind of like a cape, it had a zipper that went around the entire jacket-vest. It was completely hand painted, and it was colorful. The only problem was that it was $500 and that wasn't in my price range.

Weekend 26

Last Friday was pi day! #3.14 Next year will be even better because it will be 3.1415! The Math Department decided to host pi day on the bridge for the first time. I think it was a success, but there were a few minor issues (not really issues, but issues). For one we had 20 pies, cut into 10 slices, so 200 slices. In our school we have about 2000 kids, so we needed about 200 pies. The first 200 slices sold out before 3rd period ended. We then got about 10 more pies, which sold out almost immediately. Finally we bought about 80 strudels and sold all of them too! Maybe next year we can try pizza! Overall I think the entire event was a success.

Weekend 25

This weekend  was my first weekend  back to league. My  first and last game were pretty good, but the middle game was horrible! We won the first two games but lost the last one by about 20 pins maybe 30 at the most.  I'm not sure how many points we won because I still don't know the point system, but I think we won enough to keep us in 1st place. Today is Cops For Kids, and I plan on bowling another 260...and whooping my dad! I love this fundraiser, mostly because it includes bowling, but also for the kids, but the bowling as well.

Weekend 24

This weekend started off with sleep. I came home Friday, went to bed, woke up at 8, and then went back to bed. I woke up to the Pepsi Tournament and I've been checking the website for results ever since I left the alley. I averaged 192 overall four games which is great because I was nervous about going back to be on my own. I was hoping to go back to regular Saturday practice, but hey! a tournament's fine too. I'll be getting the results back this week and hopefully before Friday so I can know if I'm going to state!
