On Sunday I saw 12 Years a Slave which had me in tears for the last 30 minutes. It was a very emotional film, but I loved it. I can say that it was the most realistic movie I've ever seen on slavery because nothing was held back. I can say that it was the most honest movie to ever be created. What I found really surprising was the fact that critics gave it 96 out of a 100. My motto for critics is "if you listened to a critic, you'd never see a movie". I'm not a fan of critics but I think they did right by this movie. It was in my words DA BOMB!

Weekend 8
This weekend was a busy weekend even though some of my plans got cut short. I got invited to a quinceaƱera at 6pm, the movies at 6pm, and the fashion show started at 6pm (1pm for backstage and designers etc). The fashion show had already been planned for the past week and a half so of course I went with the fashion show, plus the community service hours wouldn't hurt. The fashion show turned out to be fun but a lot of work. It was actually a legit fashion show and it was pretty amazing! There were bloggers and buyers there. They had people being interviewed and photographers. It was a great experience, but next time remind me to wear comfortable shoes because I was on my feet for the whole night and the cowgirl boots weren't cutting it.

Weekend 7
10/18-10/20
This weekend was another weekend of bowling...so I'll write about another topic. Ha! Just kidding my weekend consists bowling and according to someone it was the best week I've had so far! This was awesome to hear because my baby step improvements were turning out to be great! I got a new spare ball which was pretty cool and it hooks really well. I have truly been slacking on weight lifting which is super important for my ball speed which is still at 9-10 mph and needs to get to 15 mph. So for an ending I'll write an important note to myself: DON'T FORGET YOUR JOURNAL CHECKS!Monday, October 14, 2013
Weekend 6
10/11-10/14
This weekend has got to be the best weekend so far. The only real issue I had was not being able to find my headphones. So my weekend started with the Homecoming game. We won 55 to 0! This was awesome but I woke up the next morning to find a picture that the Tribune put Young vs. irrelevant school 0 to 55, which was absolutely wrong. Luckily 4 Frackies emailed the Tribune and complained, but I’m not sure if it’s been changed yet. On Saturday I once again bowled like crap, but I was too excited about the dance to care. My best friend met us at the bowling alley and my dad dropped us off to get my hair done (which I can’t even tell was done anymore because I sweated my curls out dancing). After my hair was done, we got dressed and my dad took us to the pre-Homecoming party. We walked to the dance and I ended up dancing from the time we stepped into the door to the time we walked out. Saturday had to be the best night of the school year so far!

Weekend 5
10/4-10/6
This weekend was more bowling...what a surprise. Saturday was super sucky because my ball wouldn't hook for anything. My ball would over hook if I turned a little bit. I ended up earning 0 out of 4 points, but the girl I was going against had 80 something pins of handicap and I had only 16. This year makes absolutely no sense, I don't understand how the scores work. I can't get the point system. I wish it would go back to normal because this is making it impossible for me to win. I'm getting beat by 9 year old kids which sucks even worse. This is probably the worst Saturday of bowling ever and 'm not excited for next week either.Monday, September 30, 2013
Weekend 4
9/27-9/29
This weekend was a very busy one because on Saturday I went from league bowling to a homecoming football game to a surprise party and then to a homecoming dance. This weekend I only plan on writing about bowling. Saturday, I bowled terribly I hit about six nines in a row and only spared one of them.I was hitting the pocket but my ball didn't have enough strength to carry. It was absolutely terrible. My thumb hole is way to deep but my dad thinks I'm paranoid about it. I also didn't have tape so the ball was just sliding off my hand. I got a new wrist guard so I plan to do better next week, a lot better.

Joseph McCarthy
Joseph McCarthy born on November 14, 1908 near Appleton, Wisconsin. At the age of fourteen, Joseph McCarthy dropped out of grade school, but returned in 1928 to finish his studies. McCarthy was accepted to Marquette University where he then received his law diploma. Many unsuccessful law practices led McCarthy to continue gambling for extra money. McCarthy traded his Democrat status in, after a failed attempt to become a candidate for the district attorney. During World War II, McCarthy enlisted in the United States Marines, which is said to have happened to help his political career. In 1946, McCarthy ran as a Republican candidate for the Wisconsin Senate seat, using propaganda against his opponent, Robert La Follette. McCarthy won the race and his first term proved unsuccessful. To help his re-election, McCarthy used the nation’s fear of communism. On February 9, 1950, he claimed that he had a list of 205 people in State Department who had activity in the American Communist party. Due to this accusation, many people lost their jobs. After it was later found that these accusations were lies, McCarthy has gone down in history as one of the “most unqualified and most corrupt politicians of his time.”

Weekend 3
9/20-9/22
This weekend was a bowler’s paradise, my weekend started with Saturday morning lessons. Saturday my bowling league started an hour early due to everyone receiving tips from Coach M. I was use to his style from previous summer lessons, so it was somewhat an easy morning. I was still crazy tired so the lessons were easy but draining. Later that night we went back to the bowling alley because my dad had his league. His games ended earlier than usual, therefore we were home by 11 p.m. The next morning I woke up to more bowling. I was supposed to bowl for an “hour”, but it really ended up being two hours. Today I made a big improvement on my technique so much that I felt good about it. Now my weekend will now end with homework!
